Your Role: As a Civil Site Superintendent, you will be the cornerstone of our on-site operations, delivering daily leadership and direction for our civil construction projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the primary on-site representative, liaising with clients, the public, labor teams, and subcontractors.
• Leading daily on-site activities with a keen focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensuring all work adheres to contract specifications and requirements.
• Implementing comprehensive project plans, including safety, quality, environmental, and traffic management plans.
• Overseeing project scheduling, planning, and resource allocation.
• Providing timely and accurate reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Advising on-site condition changes and proposing effective solutions.
• Coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with collective agreements and coordinating with union representatives.
• Continuously optimizing project processes to enhance safety, profitability, and quality.

What You Bring:

• Over 5 years of experience in the construction industry and in a supervisory role.
• At least 3 years of experience in a unionized environment.
• Expertise in excavation, shoring practices, underground utilities, and road construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction business operations, including cost management, estimations, and contract adherence.
• Proficient in interpreting construction and engineering documents.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A strong commitment to safety and promoting a safety-first culture.
