Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Cash Management, the accounting technician will support the cash management team by performing the reconciliation of coin orders. He will communicate with the bank, the armored car carrier and the stores’ district managers if needed and will perform the main tasks of other team members once or twice per week. This will allow him to cover all the department’s functions and play a key role within the team.
Key Accountabilities
Display the general ledger’s transaction line items for coin orders in SAP;
Run the stores coin order report;
Ensure the stores under his responsibility have made a deposit for each coin order;
Perform items clearing in SAP;
Note the stores that don’t balance and analyze the reason why, using the Excel file of the summary of issues and their resolution, as well as the general ledger data under Change Fund, Overage/Shortage and Cash bank reconciliation;
Email the store’s district manager or call the store manager to validate or investigate unsolved variances.
Job Requirements
Education: DEP or DEC in accounting;
Experience: at least one year of relevant experience;
Spoken and written languages: English and French (strong knowledge);
Computer skills with Microsoft Office and SAP (an asset)
Able to work with strict deadlines
