Position title: Agent, Rebates and Sales Accounting

Location: Montreal (hybrid)

Reports to: Manager, Sales Accounting

The Financial Transaction Support group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Accounting & Rebates, your role as an Agent, Rebates & Sales Accounting will consist of assisting the Accountant in administering and accounting for customer rebates/commissions.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Document and obtain approval for customer rebate/commissions programs;
  • Verify accuracy of system-generated accruals;
  • Record accrual adjustments as required and complete balance sheet reconciliations of rebate accounts;
  • Process rebate/commissions payments in accordance with policies and procedures;
  • Assist with other duties within the Sales Accounting group.

  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proven skills of planning and organizing priorities;
  • You are detail oriented;
  • A working knowledge of French and a good level of English.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • College diploma in finance or in accounting;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the financial environment;
  • You have work experience enabling you to improve work processes;
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems (especially Excel);
  • Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset.
