Dorion Traffic Management Ltd. is a newly established traffic management company based out of Coquitlam, B.C., serving the lower mainland and the greater Vancouver area. We are actively growing and seeking a hard-working, experienced, and reliable Lane Closure Technician to progress with us as a company. We look forward to meeting with you!
Job Title: Lane Closure Technician (LCT).
Required Experience: 3 years minimum.
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm. Additional overtime hours may be available on occasion. Hours may be subject to change with notice.
Compensation: starting at $25-28 per hour (depending on skills and & experience).

Responsibilities:
· Be reliable and consistent in attendance.
· Possess a hardworking, and positive attitude.
·Complete safe site set up and tear down to ensure a safe, and controlled work space for all. Document site set ups and submit to management.
· Complete work site safety and traffic control plans at each job site to minimize hazard risk(s).
· Maintain and promote strong communication amongst co-workers, management, and clients. Ensure to ask management questions if clarification is needed.
· Thoroughly complete and submit the required forms/documentation to management each day and/or week.
· Ability to critically think and problem solve while on the job. Show attention to detail and remain alert while on the job.
· Understand and consistently demonstrate occupational health and safety (OHS) safe work practices and procedures. Perform risk/hazard & safety assessments at each job site prior to commencing work and throughout the duration of the job.
· Conduct basic vehicle and equipment safety inspection reports.
· Provide feedback and collaborate with supervisors and management on process improvements.
Requirements:
· Valid Traffic Control Persons (TCP) certificate.
· Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
· A valid B.C. Class 5 driver’s license, and safe drivers abstract.
· The ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, contractors, and clients.
· Willing to work outside all year-round in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, etc.)
· General construction and/or arboriculture experience is an asset.
· Knowledge and implementation of Traffic Management Plans are required.
· Must posses a passion for safety, and have basic knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations as required by WorkSafe BC.
