Downie Timber Ltd., located in Revelstoke BC, is a forest harvesting and lumber manufacturing business and a proud division of the Gorman Group. We have an exciting opportunity for a fulltime Human Resources Coordinator to join our team!
The Human Resources Coordinator administers the division’s Human Resources Program, with focus on the HR strategy, policies, practices and programs for employment, recruitment, compensation, benefits, labour relations, and employee training & development. This individual ensures that the Human Resources Program is developed and implemented, and that divisional leadership applies and maintains compliance with it and all HR-applicable federal and provincial legislation and acts. The Human Resources Coordinator is the key point of contact with government and other regulatory agencies in all HR areas.
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the division’s Plant Manager and belongs to the Corporate HR Group. The successful candidate requires self-motivation with excellent employee relations, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week, with additional hours as required.
