Position Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (Mining Operations) – 7×7 Salary Range: $42/Hour + Over-time ($49/hr over a 12 hour day)
For our client, a busy Mine Operation (Drive to site location only), we are on the hunt for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Our client operates on a 7×7 schedule. We require an experienced Dozer Operator. We are looking for someone with D10 experience, preferably in a mine production environment. The mine site is located near Chetwynd BC, and as such, you need to live within an 8 hour drive. If you are interested and available please apply.
Pay rate is $42/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day (work weeks are 12 hours per day x 7 days), you are required to drive to site and we cover mileage. Living accommodations and food allowance included. (rates include Vacation Pay and Stat Holidays)
A D+A, Criminal Record Check and References and Abstract are required. We are looking for someone to start in October.
We are looking for those individuals with a strong work ethic and a good employment track-record and a demonstrated safety record
Main Accountabilities
- Operate D10 Dozer in a mine production environment
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Work with other operators, safely and consistently.
Main Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Must be able to identify hazards and perform the role in a safe manner
- Must also possess an understanding of the issues regarding safety and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment
Considered An Asset
- CSTS-09 or Other Safety Training
- Valid Class 5 license or related/equivalent with a clean drivers abstract
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 or related training
- Heavy Equipment Operators Certificate
