DRIVING FORCE Vehicle Rentals, Sales and Leasing Looking for Regional Manager at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Full Time

We are currently hiring a Regional Manager to join our inclusive, energetic, and dynamic team who exhibits our company values of integrity, respect, commitment, and passion. The Regional Manager focuses on oversight for multiple branches within Ontario and Manitoba regions. Ensuring assigned branches align with TDF Group’s (DRIVING FORCE) strategic plan as well as the overall philosophy, vision and values.

The Regional Manager develops, coaches, and holds Branch Managers (or designate) accountable for location results as measured by established metrics and growth objectives. Builds and maintains relationships with key regional customers and vendor partners and represents TDF Group at community events as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Engagement, Development & Satisfaction

• Supervising, leading, training and mentoring Branch Managers (or designate) on agreed company culture and policies
• Ensuring that Branch Managers (or designate) are properly and effectively orientated to their roles upon hire and as required going forward
• Completing performance reviews of direct reports each year and conducting monthly operational and financial reviews
• Planning and facilitating regular regional meetings to communicate process improvements (in addition to Health & Safety), cultural messaging, and other important company information
• Engaging in succession planning with Branch Managers (or designate), Learning, and Human Resources departments
• Ensuring adequate time and other resources are budgeted for the growth and development of Branch Managers (or designate)

Customers, Vendors, & Community Relations

• Promoting the company’s service culture vision by supporting training and accountability initiatives with employees and vendors.
• Ensuring Branch Managers (or designate) are actively engaging top 15 customers every month
• Cultivating business contacts, leads, and potential employee candidates by attending networking events in the community and by ensuring adequate business development coverage for assigned area
• Maintaining dealership vendor relations to ensure the ongoing supply of vehicles and warranty assistance
• Ensuring that all assigned branches offer approved company products and services to customers as set out in company marketing plans
• Ensure branches are conducting yearly qualification reviews of their location’s critical vendors through the company’s Vendor Qualification Program
• Branch Performance
• Producing an annual regional business plan and budget in alignment with the company’s strategic and operational plans
• Aligning with corporate departments on approved company policies and processes
• Adjusting regional fleet plan to meet changing conditions as directed by Operational leadership
• Actively managing key performance indicators for Rentals, Sales and Leasing within the designated region

Facility and Asset Management

• Conducting regular physical inspections (hoists, elevators, fire extinguishers, roofs, sidewalks) according to legislated requirements or on a seasonal basis
• Procuring vehicles in compliance with company Purchasing policies
• Managing vehicle mechanical services and repairs in accordance with company Maintenance and Reconditioning policies

Continuous Improvement and Risk-based Thinking

• Communicating recommendations to Leadership on changes needed to ensure that our service is in accordance with our service leadership vision
• Continuously assess and mitigate areas of risk to assigned branches and the company overall by reporting issues and communicating company policies, quality standards, and health and safety expectations to employees and vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related area is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Branch Manager or related role
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the automotive industry or similar
• Experience with Finance and Insurance, Leasing and Sales / or Rentals Operations
• Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract acceptable to TDF Group’s Driver and Vehicle Safety Program (in order to drive company vehicles)
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills with the passion to coach and mentor a successful team
• Problem solving and negotiation skills
