Durham College Looking for Research Associate at Oshawa, ON Full Time

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Office of Research Services, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ORSIE) at Durham College is hiring a Research Associate to support two externally funded research projects entitled “Raising Resilient Families: Empowering Parents with Cognitive Challenges” and “Building Bridges Together: Co-production of Financial Empowerment Strategies with People Experiencing Low Income.”

DUTIES:
Under the guidance of the Project Directors, the Research Associate will support the research team in conducting the following research related activities:

Create and monitor a yearly project timeline

Coordinate/schedule meetings with the project committee

Collaborate with researchers to monitor and guide activities of the student Research Assistants

Coordinate the Research Ethics Board approval application process

Liaise with Project Committee members including external partners

Data collection and analysis; interview transcription

Collaborate on writing final report for phase 1 and 2 of project

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have completed a Community or Social Service program at Durham College

Proficient in the use of American Psychological Association (APA) writing and referencing guidelines

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsible and reliable

Strong communication and people skills

Previous research experience is an asset

Hourly rate: $26.28
