The Sexual Violence Education + Prevention Coordinator oversees the design and implementation of all sexual violence education, programs and resources for the campus community; and, provides one-on-one support with survivors who are affected by sexual violence. The incumbent provides support to the campus community on a wide range of concerns resulting from being exposed to or responding to sexual violence, and its impact on functioning in the post-secondary context. The Coordinator will receive and respond to sexual violence disclosures and will provide referral services to internal and external services in accordance with the campus Sexual Violence policy. The incumbent will also design and provide education and training to members of the campus Community with respect to understanding consent, bystander approaches, responding, and reporting incidents of sexual violence.
The Coordinator will also develop and lead initiatives, education, and supports for students and employees who are identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. The incumbent will act as an advisor for issues related to inclusion, accommodations, and community development.
Practical and theoretical experience in social justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, specifically working with students in equity-seeking groups including but not limited to students who are racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, with disabilities, or Indigenous.
