We are currently seeking professional NCSO applicants to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
We are interested in candidates that excel in building relationships with strong organization, communication and work prioritization skills. Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills are also essential.
Responsibilities
Provide OH&S orientations to employees and contractors
Perform field inspections and audits for non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
Assist in the development hazard assessments, fall protection plans, rescue plans, JSA?s, HSI?s, etc
Coordinate and administrate effective health and safety programs, provide expert technical advice and guidance in the interpretation and application of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, codes and practices.
Hold safety meetings with the work crews
Assist in incident investigations
Provide summary reports for clients as needed for specific projects
Follow up on and track corrective actions stemming from incident investigations, audits, inspections and hazard reports
Provide advice relating to compliance with Provincial OH&S legislations and company policy
Act as a resources by providing guidance and mentoring employees
Compile statistical data and reports as required
Stay up to date on current client and OH&S regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) Designation
Minimum of 5 years construction related OH&S experience
Extensive knowledge of the safety Industry and its policies, job procedures as well as applicable Acts, regulations and codes of practice
A valid, unrestricted Driver?s Licence (Please note, a valid licence does not include a Learner?s Permit or Graduated Licence)
A Driver’s Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months
Demonstrate leadership, coaching, mentoring and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrate effective communication with management and workers regarding OH&S
