Dynamic Balance Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Centre Looking for Administrative Assistant (Part-time) at Oshawa, ON Full Time

A busy physiotherapy and massage therapy clinic located in Oshawa is seeking an experienced, hard working individual interested in working as a part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a welcoming personality with excellent interpersonal skills. They have experience working in a medical office and/or experience submitting claims to insurance companies. They have been educated in a post secondary institution for medical office administration or another appropriate field. 15-20 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Self starter with a positive attitude
• Excellent at problem solving and multitasking in a busy environment
• Highly organized
• Good computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator
• Must be able to work evenings

Reception / Front Desk Duties:

• Greeting patients, answering phones
• Booking appointments, processing payments
• Billing insurance companies, WSIB
• Assisting with smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic
• Appointment reminder calls and patient follow up calls
• Assisting clients in registration process including gathering information about their insurance

Other Administrative Duties:

• Assisting with laundry (pillow cases and towels) and keeping the clinic tidy
• Assisting with testing for workplace safety (after being trained)
• Printing weekly and monthly reports
• Following up on collections
• Assisting practitioners with administrative tasks

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

All customers are screened before arriving, all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly through day, plexiglass shield dividing office staff and clientele, reduced caseloads, physical distancing.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Oshawa, ON L1H 2J9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
• Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
