We are looking for an Android developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablets.
What you do will do:
Design and build applications for the Android platform
You will be working with a small, informal and tightly integrated team of programmers on existing and new products
Collaborate with iOS, Android, and backend engineers to ship features
Take part in architecture discussions and have a high standard of quality in coding practices. Developers will participate in the peer code review process.
Identify and fix high priority issues in a timely manner
Take ownership of the quality and usability of your code
Stay up to date with new/emerging technologies to implement improved practices or to overcome technical issues
See an application through its full lifecycle from requirements gathering to production support
What you will need:
3 years or more industry experience developing Android applications
Proficient with Kotlin and Java
In depth understanding of core OOP concepts
Good understanding of Android’s UI architecture and interest in declarative UI building.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs. Knowledge of GraphQl is plus
Strong understanding of common design principles such as MVC, MVVM etc
Experience with performance and memory tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knack for benchmarking and optimization
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
Team player with excellent communication skills
University/College degree or relevant experience
