Role Summary
As a Software Development Manager here at E INC you will get to partner with and lead a team of engineers that care about our technology and the quality of their work. You will be accountable for building healthy teams, maintaining team health and delivery of new business value. You will help manage daily activities of these software developers, coordinate between the product managers, other development managers and stakeholders to maintain excellence and develop existing and new capabilities for their focus area. Continuous involvement in the overall application strategy and development lifecycle is required.
What You Will Do:
Help develop and maintain engineering best practices and culture.
Work with product managers, technical leads and teams to complete projects that further the business.
Hire, build and nurture effective multidisciplinary teams across web, mobile and backend engineering.
Support developed solutions in production.
Review code, write code on occasion, this is a technical leadership position.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
Experience on complex Java application development
Excellent communications skills
Critical thinking and autonomy
Strong knowledge of software application architecture best practices
Excellent pull request review skills and attention to detail
People leadership experience of teams of 10+ developers
Software development management (5+ years)
Java (5+ years)
Agile practices (5+ years)
