Eaton’s EPG EAS Electrical Automation Solutions division is currently seeking a Senior Application Engineer. This is a hybrid position, candidates can work in one of the following Eaton offices: Brossard, QC; Lévis, QC; Mississauga, ON; Burlington, ON; Delta, BC; Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Dartmouth, NS.
What you’ll do:
EATON is hiring a knowledgeable, collaborative, and passionate solution architect who will act as a bridge between the client engineering and IT teams, Eaton technical sales specialists and subject matter experts to bring together a solution based on Eaton’s CYME software technology that translates the client business problems to technical software requirements and ultimately a software solution. The successful candidate will focus on the sales and promotion of CYME-based custom solutions, or special projects, requiring development, system integration and associated implementation/customization. This role will enable an accelerated sales growth and also contribute to the global success of the company.

Responsibilities
Lead Eaton’s CYME solutions technical sales engagement with clients in the utility industry: IOUs, crown corporations, municipalities, cooperatives. Be able to articulate the solution to C-level executives as well as technical operations teams for clients.
Be a change agent for our customers/clients, sales organization, working through influence, trust and evangelism of new ideas for software solution development and selling.
Identify client business needs, provide solution feature descriptions, conduct basic solution demos and coordinate complex presentations with cross-functional internal teams.
Work with other Eaton’s sales team members, offer management, engineering and proposals team to develop detailed solution value propositions for key utilities stakeholders: executives, operators, finance leaders and IT leaders.
Build a strong pipeline by identifying and developing opportunities with existing key accounts.
Efficiently manage account specific data using Eaton’s CRM tools.
Organize and execute value-creation workshops for strategic customers.
Represent Eaton’s CYME at industry and marketing events.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required
Minimum of 5 years of electrical sales or electrical engineering experience
Minimum of 10 years of deep domain expertise and experience with the power distribution and controls industry, developing and deploying, microgrids, power distribution, power quality and control solutions for utility and commercial and industrial markets.
Ability to travel 30% of time
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License
5+ years of outcomes selling, consultative, selling experience to executive and technical buyers.
