Position Overview:
This position primarily supports proposal needs for medium-sized, large and/or complex projects pertaining to the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESS) business. This includes growing market trends associated with key growth drivers such as Aftermarket, Energy Transition and Project Operations turnkey projects. The position is charged with supporting the sales force, senior project managers and regional manager during the front-end sales process to ensure a seamless transition from quote into execution.

In this function you will:
Support Sales and EESS primarily for the Quebec Region but also support requests from other locations across Canada as required and based on specific experience and skillsets.
Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for all opportunities assigned.
Support proposals related to Large Projects within the following segments:
Utility (distribution / transmission, generation/hydro/gas/coal),
Switchgear modernization,
Data Centers (Substation and Switchgear),
Industrial (Switchgear upgrades and Control systems),
and Government Projects.
Developing proposals in support of growth initiatives including
Aftermarket,
Power Systems Automation and Controls
Microgrid and energy transition projects
Develop project cost estimates comprising engineering, equipment and construction and commissioning costs.
Develop subcontractor scope as required for construction estimates.
Develop value-add solutions beyond the standard specifications to provide greater customer value differentiating Eaton Solutions from that of our competition.
Review and analysis of detailed project specifications.
Review equipment specification and pricing.
Coordinate terms and conditions reviews by Contracts Department using established Eaton processes.
Participate in customer presentations via joint customer visits with various sales channels and presentations provided to end-users, or other sales channels to help educate and promote our turnkey project capabilities.
Participate in detailed project hand-off and support ongoing Projects by helping to capture “Extras” on projects which were beyond the original specifications.
Support monthly reporting of proposal activities to Project Operations.
Travel as required for site-visits, customer meetings and sales training meetings (Typically one to three days maximum per trip).
Be actively involved in personal professional growth and development.
Complete position safety and product training as required.
Contribute to development and maintenance of standardized proposals templates and pricing or other tools to improve Proposal Solutions Group proposal efficiency.

Qualifications
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma, in a technical field.
5+ years minimum electrical industry related experience.
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
Legally authorized to work in the Canada without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
1 plus years of experience in sales or proposal development.
5 years’ experience in electrical industry, related to application engineering in electrical power systems, utility and/ or industrial substation construction, and switchgear projects.
Estimating experience in substation, switchgear and electrical system installations.
Experience with emerging technology and systems associated with microgrid / energy storage or renewable energy solutions.
Experience with proposal development for all of Eaton’s end markets (Utility, Industrial, Commercial, and Government).
Experience in writing and reviewing subcontractor work scopes and agreements.
Experience evaluating vendor quotes for specification compliance.
Experience with risk evaluation and management.
