Eaton’s Energy Automation Solutions Division is looking for senior software developer to join our Grid Automation Services team. This position is located at our office in St-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec.
Eaton is accelerating and leading the industry with its digital offerings to utility customers. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the senior developer will participate in the design and development of customized customer projects to integrate data from different sources (GIS, SIC, AMI, SCADA, PI) with the aim of creating a detailed digital model of the power grid to perform advanced engineering simulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Analyzes technical specifications and engineering requirements for complex projects involving data sources such as GIS, CIS, AMI, SCADA, PI, etc.
Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
Prepares detailed software verification test plans.
Participates in the technical support of the solutions developed aiming to provide an unsurpassed customer experience.
Coordinates all stages of the development cycle in collaboration with the project manager.
Participates in design workshops and project deployment activities both locally and at customer sites.
Evaluates new technologies and development tools.
Writes technical documentation.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in C# and/or C++ programming.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Microsoft Studio development environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SQL.
Experience with FME.
Fluency in French
Knowledge of geographic information systems (ESRI, Intergraph, SmallWord)
