Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager Staff Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of professional learning programs and courses and for the administration of operations for Staff Development and Career Transitions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • collaborating with instructors, stakeholders and staff from central decision units to plan and deliver programs and professional learning activities for staff
  • collecting and analyzing participant feedback, as well as program and course data, in support of strategic planning
  • conducting research and gathering information related to course offerings and certification or training requirements required by law, collective agreements and Division needs
  • training and supporting Professional Learning Registration (PDR) System administrators with system features
  • troubleshooting PDR issues and liaising with PowerSchool technical staff
  • coordinating the development, updating and monitoring of online self-directed courses for staff
  • coordinating and monitoring operational decision unit processes and procedures
  • assisting with the processing and assessment of applications for program participation and requests for tuition support and reimbursement
  • coordinating requests from post-secondary institutions for educational assistant practicum placements with host schools

Education/Qualifications

  • a degree in a related field
  • minimum of three years of related experience including experience in adult learning
  • knowledge of project management
  • excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office, Google Suite

Rate of Pay
$3,305.40 – $4,227.30 bi-weekly
