Job Overview
Position Schedule: Part-Time
The client experience team is focused on nurturing all aspects of the client journey. The team’s goal is to deliver human-centered client communications that will inspire and fuel robust conversations between clients and our financial advisors. The team supports multiple business units in launching innovative and enhanced solutions for clients, optimizes content and channels to deliver comprehensive wealth management to the firm’s ideal clients, and increases breadth and use of client insights to design and deliver optimal client experiences.
The Senior Marketing Specialist will:
Lead content development and optimization to support various lines of business including, Operations, Regulatory, Products, Client Consultation Group and Advice & Guidance teams
Develop and execute (write and edit) a broad range of pre-approved custom-marketing templates including, ads, flyers, letters, emails, brochures, and client seminars
Continually investigates and explores new, innovative ideas to drive adoption of materials and improve usage results against marketing KPIs.
Build and strengthen connections with financial advisors and branches by understanding their business opportunities and challenges and champion ideas and opportunities for systems enhancements
Craft messages for use across all channels and touch points, including website, print communications, online communications and direct mail
Provide strategic direction to stakeholders to ensure the voice of the client is central in decisions, positioning and execution of all client communications
Actively staying on top of the latest industry regulations and work with key business partners to communicate appropriate messages to financial advisors and clients
Responsible for Performance Analytics Reporting on client experience initiatives which includes digital programs, newsletters, identifying trends and recommendations for optimizations to accomplish marketing objectives
12 month contracted position
Skills/Requirements
Qualifications Required in the Job:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or related study such as Journalism and Communications
Minimum of 5-7 years marketing experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility; with at least 3 years in the financial services field preferred
Broad knowledge of marketing practices including: branding, direct marketing, marketing communications, market research, SEO, online marketing, go to market strategies
Knowledge of investment and insurance products and services
Experience working with financial professionals
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, including project expenses
Experience working with cross-functional project teams and providing direction
Lead development of marketing campaigns and projects
Stays abreast of market trends to drive topics for client communications
Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results
12 month contracted position

Problem solving has a medium level of complexity, as the position requires the ability to provide direction on the most effective way to implement marketing solutions to support business objectives.
Requires managing competing priorities and initiatives among functional marketing areas, other divisions and agency partners.
Understands when and how a problem should be escalated
Makes expense recommendations to Leader and implement projects based on approved amounts.
Decision Making:
Decisions require the ability to recognize special situations and use a high degree of creativity to solve.
Decisions will be largely governed by precedent, firm policies, or guidelines.
Uses independent judgment to managing competing priorities and looks for ways to align messages with firm objectives.
Project Management
Responsible for all aspects of projects, including, meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, campaign analysis, and tracking / monitoring procedures
Manages and prioritizes competing priorities independently
Establish and articulate project scope, strategy and objectives to internal clients, production team and key leadership
Span of Influence:
Creative thinker, excellent listener and communicator
Contributes to the brand development objectives
Manages content and tools accessed by clients and an unlimited amount of prospects
Influences messages that reach clients and potential clients
Serves as a resource and center of marketing expertise for business areas to ensure communication and delivery of messages aligns with firm objectives
Liaison with external agencies, writers and designers
Influences branches through marketing materials that will have an impact on growing their practice
