EECOL Looking for Director – Technology Support Services at Toronto, ON Full Time

As a Director – Technology Support Services, you will manage a team of experienced technical professional employees or managers while themselves are providing technical expertise to internal and external customers. You will be responsible for setting and ensuring measurable annual individual performance objectives for their team.

Responsibilities:

• This individual will have to provide technical support to external and internal customers as needed in their field of expertise, while managing a team of subject matter experts/managers.
• Coordinates vendor training activities for team and others within the TSS organization.
• Strives for continual improvement with team organization, processes and procedures.
• Maintains reporting of key performance indicators (KPI), analysis of KPI’s and reporting to senior management
• Develops customer-facing and internal documentation on best practices, troubleshooting flowcharts, training materials and FAQs to ensure consistent customer experience.
• Communicates with engineering, applications engineering, marketing, category management, Supply Chain Services, and quality assurance divisions of any product problems, opportunities, software bugs or emerging customer needs.
• Deliver presentations to Senior Management level and at industry events / tradeshows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree – Technical or engineering discipline, or commensurate years of technical and/or managerial experience
• Licenses/Certificates/Designations – based on their technical field of expertise
• Minimum 12 years experience in the technical field of expertise in design, implementation and/or commissioning
• Possess a customer-centric mindset.
• Possess strong leadership skills and team development
• Possess strong presentation skills to external and internal audiences, including senior management
• Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• 2 year experience of leading a team of at least 6 direct reports
• AutoCAD 2D or AutoCAD Inventor
• BICSI RCDD, and/or OSP, NTS, DCDC or industry equivalent
• Microsoft Visio
• Ability to travel up to 25%
