RESEARCH ASSISTANT, CASUAL (REMOTE)

EHN Canada is seeking a research assistant to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable clinical research skills, acquire experience with patient care in addiction treatment, build your team-working abilities, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and presentations. This opportunity will allow you to work alongside professionals striving to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of services that we provide to our clients.

This is a casual position and therefore, hours are not guaranteed. However, we expect hours to generally range from 8-16 per week over 1-2 days. Hours and days may be flexible.

Research Assistant Description

The primary role of the Research Assistant is to provide support to the research team in preparing data for analysis and preparing materials for presentation and/or publication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Literature Review
• Data Entry
• Data cleaning
• Data analysis
• Knowledge dissemination
• Potential presentation and/or publication opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Two years of research experience in an academic or healthcare setting
• Prior clinical research experience is preferred but not required
• Successful completion of at least one post-secondary course in research methods
• Completion of TCPS 2-CORE certificate
• Trauma-informed training and experience is an asset
• Some knowledge of mental health and addictions Professional Attributes and Skills:
• Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, communication, facilitation and decision-making skills
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the team
• Must be able to read and write and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly excel
• Must be proficient with other statistical software (SPSS, R, JASP, Jamovi)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Communicates clearly and effectively with other staff, clients and supervisor
• Shows enthusiasm and a desire to learn
