Job Description We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer with at least 4 years experience in High End Hospitality to become a part of our team! You will plan, design and furnish the interiors of High End Hospitality, Residential, and Condominium Projects
Responsibilities:
- Formulate designs that are aesthetic and conducive to the client
- Select design components to create a unique and purposeful space
- Maintain client, vendor, and consultant relationships
- Prepare sketches, 2d and 3d drawings and renderings and documentation for client presentation
- Assist Senior Designer & Management in project endeavors for all design phases (Concept, SD, DD, CD, Finishes, Specs, CA)
- Responsible to attend project specific meetings & product meeting minutes
- Acquire and coordinate samples from vendors for projects and studio
- Assist in Coordination with outside project consultants such as lighting, MEP, Structural, Signage, kitchen consultants etc, as necessary to complete a well-coordinated project; and to produce meeting minutes/follow through & assist team
- Assist Senior Designer & management team to set up project meetings
- Create, develop, and execute innovative design concepts that are impactful and aligned with the intended purpose and project design strategy
- Manage and carry out multiple hospitality projects of varying stages of completion from concept to construction within schedule and budget
- Collaborate to establish the project schedule and team schedule
- Select and specify all interior design elements with relevance to the established design narrative
- Prepare design specifications documents
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years previous experience in Hospitality Interior Design
- Legally entitled to work in Canada – holding Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident status or a valid work permit
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent
- Must provide resume and portfolio to be considered
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with internal colleagues, and external clients, consultants, and suppliers
- Excellent design, time, and priority management through a high skillset in scheduling and resource management – practising proactive measures where possible
- Able to clearly express concepts in three dimensions through 3D modelling
- Strong comprehension of FF capable of working with in-house FF&E specialists
- Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCad, Sketchup, and other design software
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
