Key Accountabilities
Preparing statements/reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues.
Providing or assisting with First Aid for employees and guests
Responding to, resolving or escalating security issues
May escort guests and employees or escort duties as required.
Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Education And Qualifications
High school diploma required, post-secondary education an asset.
Strong communication and public relations skills
Second language an asset
Previous experience or training in security an asset
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule.
Exceptional organizational, problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
Good knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 2 and WHMIS an asset
Completion of Gaming Security Officer training an asset
The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
