Elite Developments Looking for Bookkeeper at Burlington, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Position Summary: Elite Developments is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial part in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Transactions: Handle daily accounting tasks including posting transactions, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and complete records of all financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets. Report any discrepancies or irregularities found in records.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budget preparation and forecast finances, working closely with the management team to ensure financial health and compliance.
• Payroll Administration: Process payroll in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and record-keeping.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring that all invoices are accurate and paid on time.
• Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure that all bookkeeping activities comply with federal and state laws.

Qualification Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
