Position Overview
As an English Teacher, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, working to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEMH needs. Your role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of our students.
- Fostering a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
- Collaborating with colleagues, support staff, and parents to create personalized learning plans and provide essential support to students.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
- Contributing to the development of an innovative and inclusive curriculum that inspires a lifelong love of English.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn and adapt is crucial.
- A passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students to explore and enjoy the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
