Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities
Provides general Health Physics support to waste and source projects, undertaking characterization calculations. Develops and implements elements of the Radiation Protection Program and Regulatory Compliance Program. Complies with company policies, practices and procedures regarding human rights and health and safety. Treats everyone, including customers and co-workers, with respect.
· Provides Health Physics support to projects. Develops and implements elements of the Radiation Protection Program and Regulatory Compliance Program.
· Provides, develops and delivers radiation protection courses for projects.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Skills
· Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
· Comprehensive computer knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc). Microshield capability would be beneficial.
· Able to work independently.
· Must be willing to travel to customer site(s).
· Knowledge of Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), associated federal acts and supporting regulations.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
· Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent post graduate certificate) in Health Physics or comparable scientific subject.
· Required Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience working in operational radiation protection environment and 4 years’ nuclear regulatory experience.
· Preferred Experience: None
