We are seeking a Field Technician on behalf of our engineering client – they make world-class fiber optic technology for the energy sector. If you’re skilled with the installation of cable, and equipment maintenance, and possess a positive, professional attitude, we’d love to speak to you!
Responsibilities include:
- Installing specialized fiber optic cable.
- Installing field equipment.
- Preparing required materials and equipment for installation/deployment at the site.
- Filling all required reports such as quality control sheets, time sheets, safety forms, etc.
- Performing required maintenance on equipment.
- Adhering strictly to all required health and safety regulations.
- Regular use of hand tools, and power tools.
Requirements Include:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar work.
- Previous experience installing fiber optic cable is preferred.
- Previous experience in the energy sector is an asset.
- Must be willing to work in the field on all required days (at least 15 days/month) and some weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
