Responsibilities:

• Provides a dedicated HR support to employees developing strong relationships and team approach
• Works in partnership with HR Manager to assist in driving a health & safety culture
• Conducts full cycle recruiting activities including on-boarding of new employees to ensure, including working as liaison between employment agencies to manage temporary staffing needs
• Responsible for bi-weekly payrolls for organization and maintenance of HRIS system
• Investigate employee concerns or complaints brought forward ensuring resolution and follow-up
• Provide support to employees, supervisors and managers in various HR-related topics such as leaves of absence, vacation request, attendance, HR policies, H&S
• Maintenance of employee communication systems such as bulletin boards, communication emails, etc.
• Updates company policies, procedures, and documentation where needed.
• Tracks, schedules and conducts training including safety and orientations
• Manages and monitors attendance including long-term leaves and WSIB claims management and reporting
• Produces regular and ad hoc reports and analysis such as KPIs including turnover, performance appraisal status, training, etc.
• Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the IATF 16949 Quality System Standard

• Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
• Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
• Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
• Performs other tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary education with focus on Human Resources
• CHRP Designation, or in progress
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably as a generalist in a manufacturing environment
• Strong computer skills MS Excel, and HRIS systems (Kronos)
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), strong organizational skills
• Familiar with payroll processing and KRONOS time management system an asset
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
• Ability to display tact, diplomacy and patience at all times
