The teacher will be responsible for developing learning activities and hands-on material, tending to individual student needs, and communicating regularly with parents.
Teacher Responsibilities:
Design and follow a complete teaching plan.
Provide instruction in multiple subjects in accordance with the Ontario Curriculum.
Organise learning material and resources.
Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information and feedback.
Assess student performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis.
Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing.
Be able to work as part of a team and develop different learning opportunities for students.
Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.
Communicating regularly with parents.
Requirements
Proven working experience as a Elementary School Teacher.
Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices.
Creative and artistic teaching abilities.
Patience and flexibility
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Good classroom management skills.
Good teamwork abilities.
Background in STEAM education is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 per hour

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Primary General Education Teachers: 1 year (preferred)
