Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing of sensors and controls for industrial automation, is currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team immediately on a permanent full-time basis.
You will be joining one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial sensors and controls. Reporting to the Sales manager, this position will primarily be working remotely covering the Montreal territory with a sales office in Montreal, Quebec.
Role And Responsibilities
- Providing technical products and solutions to a wide range of industries
- Develops and maintain relationships with all levels in a company including key decision makers, owners, executives, engineering, production, etc.
- Work with end users and OEMs to identify areas of possible cost savings and projects
- Identify challenges and finding opportunities, with the support from the technical and product support team.
- Presentation of technical solutions to customers with full understanding of the customer’s business model, as well as their challenges and needs.
- Maintaining a close relationship with the Customer Service and Back-Office team, who will process all documents such as call reports, quotes, special pricing contracts, and more.
- Participates in the development of sales strategies within their assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering, or related fields
- 2 – 5 years proven sales experience, preferably in industry automation or manufacturing
- Experience selling systems and software an asset.
- Demonstrable knowledge related to the application of sensors, instrumentation, automation, and networking solutions (IOT).
- Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and close key prospect accounts with KDMs
- Sales and technically savvy, creative, and with an excellent ability to understand a customer’s business
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and fully Bilingual (Written & Oral) in French and English
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.
