Express Employment Professionals Looking for Logistics Manager at Calgary, AB Full Time

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a talented Logistics Manager. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Logistics Manager will have key relationships with Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Operations.

The purpose of the role is to facilitate communication between production, sales, and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the warehouse operations (shipping & receiving) operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees
• Place a high focus on overall customer satisfaction
• Track and monitor all landed costs (per unit and per kg) for inbound and outbound shipments to both customers and third-party service providers
• Implement cost reduction strategies to reduce landed cost, increase vehicle utilization and customer service
• Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Meet regularly with shipping and receiving leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
• Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
• Ensure transport is booked on time and in line with expected delivery dates
• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
• Oversee and ensure bookings are made efficiently and accurately within the internal tracking system
• Actively manage the process all transactions in our ERP system to ensure accurate view of sales and adequate closing of sales orders
• Oversee and facilitate logistics needs between all Decibel facilities
• Completes other duties and projects as required

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience working in a logistics, transport or warehouse environment
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management
• 2+ years of previous management experience
• Experience in a manufacturing and processing environment an asset
• Knowledge of Cannabis Act and Regulations an asset
• Proficient with computers, Excel, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
