Job Description Our company is currently seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team!
The position could be fulfilled by a part time employee or contractor.
We have a few months of book-keeping to catch up on, so we would initially require about 40 hours of work to bring our books up to current.
Following that initial period, we estimate 1/2 day per week, with a flexible schedule. Most work can be performed from home, with occasional meetings in our office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Process semi-monthly payroll and remitting to government
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Minimum of 2 years experience processing payroll and remitting to government
- Minimum of 3 years experience with QuickBooks
