What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Coordinate and provide administrative support to all F&B Outlets & Banquet department and , communicating day to day updates and changes
Provides administrative assistance to the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the Food & Beverage division.
Print and assist with the creation of all menus or F&B promotional pieces
Perform various duties pertaining to departmental scheduling, payroll and purchasing
Prioritize and maintain active daily telephone and e-mail activity with potential customers, in-person visitors and schedules appointments
Maintain confidential filling system for correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and various matters related to the Food & Beverage Division
Manage the flow of reservations in all areas on a daily basis, ensuring we maximize productivity, guest satisfaction, and increase restaurant volume
Coordinate information between Sales and Food & Beverage, as well as Kitchen, Accounting, and Engineering teams
Issue Restaurant Event Orders for group and special events and handles and communicate Banquet Event Orders
Create and maintain client and guest accounts in Open Table on a daily basis, confirming all reservations and creating floor plans
Schedule on-site and off-site meetings, conference calls, prepare meeting agendas, take and distribute minutes and complete arrangements for meeting venues and Food & Beverage as required
Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in an administrative role required
Minimum one year experience in Food & Beverage preferred
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly responsible and able to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
Professional telephone manner and demeanor with a natural response to ‘smile’ on the phone
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and detail-oriented with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The Hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization
Serving It Right certification required
Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends, late nights, early mornings, and holidays
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Frequent standing, sitting and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20lbs
Infrequent kneeling, pushing and pulling
Infrequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
