Talent Acquisition Coordinator

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist with and coordinate the recruitment and selection process for the Fairmont Banff Springs to ensure that all staffing levels are met within all areas of the hotel
Process candidates through the candidate workflow, including but not limited to reviewing candidates, conducting and scheduling interviews, verifying references and facilitating offers of employment including background checks and references
Complete Step 1 of entering new colleagues into Dayforce
Create employee files for all new colleagues prior to Orientation
Manage the internal Talent Scout process
Ensure compliance with Fairmont policy and legal regulations in all aspects of the recruitment function
Ensure optimum service levels are maintained by providing the required office coverage during operating hours, professional, engaging and friendly service is a must.
Responsible for responding to a variety of enquiry’s from colleagues and prospective colleagues
Support Hiring Manager’s with SmartRecruiters and provide guidance
Sit in with departmental interviews to support Hiring Managers
Maintain BSH Careers e-mail & collecting of onboarding paperwork
Complete pre-screening candidate interviews as required
Assist with wellness check for colleagues entering into the hotel
Assist with the presentation of the recruitment section for Leadership Orientation/ Hiring Manager Training
Assist with facilitation of Student Work Experience Program (SWEP) events & interviews
Assist with internal functions such as Staff BBQ’s, Gala Night etc.
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Previous work experience, at least 2 years, within a similar establishment, industry or work environment required
Strong knowledge of various computer programs is a must.
Demonstrated knowledge of e-mail, a HR database system, MS Word, MS excel, and MS PowerPoint is required Recruiting and/or operational experience in a hospitality environment preferred
Previous hotel operational experience preferred
Demonstration of innovative ways so as to keep things fresh and new is required.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Window applications, previous experience with Taleo Recruiting an asset
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a very busy environment
Proven ability to build strong relationships and desire to maintain Guest Service Excellence by providing quality service to our internal guests
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
