Position Overview
- Seeking a talented General Manager (GM) to oversee daily operations of the consulting and application services business unit.
- Responsible for maximizing customer and IBM investments through software solutions, ERP evolution, support, development, EDI capabilities, and help desk responsibilities.
- Focus on generating growth strategies and enhancing client solutions by leveraging the full portfolio of products and managed services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EVP of Consulting Services to set direction and lead sales and market expansion strategies.
- Partner with sales and customer engagement teams to align solutions, pricing, and delivery schedules for profitability.
- Manage operational and cultural integration between client Application Services team and consulting team.
- Optimize manpower planning and resource allocation for maximized utilization rates and gross margin.
- Develop competitive business strategies for new solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Lead feasibility and profitability analysis for selecting best customer outcomes.
- Provide strategic direction on life-cycle delivery management and project activities.
- Direct the management of delivery for complex assignments involving senior management.
- Leverage technical and market knowledge to enhance competitiveness and accelerate growth.
- Keep the organization informed and engaged through regular communication and dashboards.
- Translate key decisions to stakeholders and align groups towards business objectives.
- Demonstrate strong sales, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in services and product sales, preferably in the IBMi environment.
- Track record of setting financial goals and metrics, managing large teams, and driving unit vision.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams, change management, and organizational evolutions.
- Strong presentation skills for senior leadership and technical teams.
