We are looking for an experienced Industrial/Auto Body Paint Prepper to join our team at our Prince George, BC head office.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare the vehicle for paint; sanding, taping, and masking.
- Clean and smooth surfaces before the application of primer and paint
- Detailing of paint work such as unmasking, inspection, touch ups, buffing and minor reassembly.
- Execute minor body work when instructed.
- Loading and unloading of supplies/parts.
- Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment.
- Employees will be required to perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an auto-body prepper.
- Must have a strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Must be able to produce a high quality finished product
- Quick learner
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, work overhead, climb ladders as necessary
- Forklift experience considered an asset
