Here’s what we can do together:
Working within the mission, vision, values and person-centred philosophy of the Agency, the Accounting Administrator supports accounting requirements of both FSEAP and the Finance Department by playing a critical role through regular accounting tasks and special projects. This role will be reporting to both the Business and Operations Manager – FSEAP, as well as the Associate Director – Finance, working closely with these two divisions. It actively supports the Agency’s awareness and goals around diversity and inclusion.
What you bring:
Education, Training, Experience
2-3 years related accounting experience
College Diploma or University degree in Commerce or related field, with specialization in accounting (preferred)
Professional Certification, License or Registration Requirements:
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of and experience with accounting and reporting in the not-for-profit and for-profit sector is ideal
Strong computer literacy on MS Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of and experience with QuickBooks (Online); experience with Adagio is an asset
Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to embrace and foster continuous improvement in the department
Your key contributions:
Perform monthly billings including creating and sending of invoices, providing account statements and collections for the FSEAP program
Administer accounts receivable account, including recording payments received in QuickBooks and following up on late payments
Manage program payables, submit invoices received for authorization and payment and track status
Perform bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
Reconcile corporate credit card statements and support programs with this
Enter cash receipts
Assist in responding to program financial enquiries
Prepare financial reports and support the team to ensure all monthly deadlines are met
Assist in the preparation of working paper files for the year-end audit
Provide support to program staff
Perform administrative and other duties as required
Support in backup of team members as needed and on special projects

Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: GS8 $24.57/ hour with a competitive benefits & pension package
Location: 1638 E Broadway, Vancouver BC V5N 1W1, with flexibility to work from office or home
(or a combination thereof)
