What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:
– Assist in leading the Liquor team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and brand.
– Assist in the management of the Liquor department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
– Assist in recruitment, training, development, coaching and motivating the liquor team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.
– Ensures that all products meet company quality standards.
– Assist in performing team performance reviews and action plans for development.
– Assist in managing inventory levels and inventory procedures.
– Provide feedback to the Liquor Manager regarding recommendations for continued improvement of operations.
– Assist in sales promotion programs to grow the liquor business.
– Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies.
– Assist in the development and administration of action plans to achieve the desired results of the business plan.
– Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results including, sales, margins, expense, inventory and SPEH for your department.
– Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
– Have a minimum of 1-3 years retail experience.
– Have a minimum 1-3 years experience managing/supervising others.
– Previous liquor store experience is an asset.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
– Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
– Motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
– Effective planning, organization and time management skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Demonstrate the ability to maintain relationships outside of the organization that support the organization.
– You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
