North Central Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time Cashier to join our team at our Home Centre located in Stony Plain, Alberta. The successful candidate must be available for evenings and weekends shifts. Open availability is an asset.

What you’ll do:
– Provide a high level of prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service
– Scan and process transactions in an efficient manner, resolving customer inquiries as needed
– Handle cash, credit and debit transactions in addition to bagging customer groceries
– Stock and clean the front-end merchandising areas including facing of shelves in the till area
– Complete opening and closing of registers, reconciling tills following established procedures
– Other duties as required

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
– Previous work experience in a Home Centre retail location or building materials industry would be an asset
– You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail
– You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
– You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
