Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for delivering world-class customer service. Duties include ensuring that all prescriptions are provided to the correct patient, operating cash registers and taking payment from customers, assisting with merchandising, displaying packaged products, assisting pharmacy staff, and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong attention to detail. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and be able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.
– Previous pharmacy cashier experience in a retail environment would be an asset
– Basic computer knowledge, POS knowledge, and familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash register, scanner, money counters, etc.
– Ability to adapt to new technology
– High level of integrity and work ethic
– Ability to provide a Criminal Records Check conducted by the municipal, provincial, or federal police using the Canadian Police Information Centre System (CPIC) that is satisfactory to South Country Co-op in its sole discretion
– Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
– Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
– High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
– Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
– Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
