What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for the effective and timely transportation of freight within the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). You will maintain system rates and routing for all inbound movement of stock product utilizing Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).

• You will ensure inbound rates are correctly loaded into OTM and managed traffic is properly released, planned and secured in OTM daily.
• You will provide OTM support to regions when required and patriciate in troubleshooting for failed order releases.
• You will request rate proposals from the carrier industry for freight movement and ensure the use of the most cost-effective method of handling for the CRS.
• You will work with regions and commodity department to organize various distributions of products and ensure product movement is handled as expected.
• You will work closely with all carriers to ensure fright terms are met and audit all company paid freight invoices making necessary adjustments as required.
• You will maintain the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) program.
• You will ensure the proper classification for TDG items based on SDS documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• You have a high school education; preference will be given to those who have complete CITT courses or CCLP designation.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of related freight or dispatch experience.
• You’re familiar with dangerous goods best practices.
