About the Role
Dining Room Server- $15.50
Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Dining Room Server is responsible for providing guests with exceptional service during their Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meals. The Dining Room Servers will prepare the set up and clean up of all meal services for guests. Working collaboratively with the other Dining Room Servers, Assistant Servers, Bartender, Expeditor and Dishwasher.
Responsibilities:
– Arrive punctually in the proper clean and pressed uniform
– Check in with the Dining Room Manager for table section prior to meal
– Ensure sections are set up adequately for each meal service including table centre pieces, honey pots, cutlery and glassware
– Clear used dishes and glassware regularly from tables during service
– Build friendly and professional connections with guests throughout their meal service
– Knowledge of the food, wine, bar and daily menus
– Ensure that all wine is served to the resort standard of proper wine service
– Maintain a clean and clear work area
– Complete all assigned “after meal” duties
– Receive approval all “after meal” duties have been complete by the Dining Room Manager prior to dismissal from each meal
– Prepare, serve and take down our BBQ lunch meal service in the Summer months when assigned
– Other duties as requested
Job Specification:
– Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
– Valid Ontario Smart Beverage Service Certificate (Or willing to obtain)
– Food and beverage experience an asset
– Customer service experience an asset
– Must be available to work split shifts, weekends and holidays (Breakfast 7:45am-10:30am Lunch 11:45-2:30 Dinner 5:45-8:30 approximately)
– Energetic, service oriented and works well in a fast paced environment
Working Conditions:
– Walk and stand for the duration of shifts
– Lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs unassisted
