Financial Services Development Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a full-time basis. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and accounting procedures.

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to develop comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management on variances and deviations from budgeted targets.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement initiatives to improve financial performance.

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning initiatives.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and profitability.
• Evaluate capital investment proposals and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and business projects.

1. Risk Management and Compliance:

• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and examinations as needed.

1. Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, including accountants, analysts, and clerical staff, to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• 1 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
