Overview The Back Office Operations Analyst (RBC QSL) is responsible for examining and completing requests regarding payment(s) applications for borrowers with student loans. The role entails using both internal tools and access to the loan servicing system to update repayment schedules under the repayment guidelines.
Responsibilities
The Back Office Operations Analyst (RBC QSL) is responsible for examining and completing requests regarding payment(s) applications for borrowers with student loans. The role entails using both internal tools and access to the loan servicing system to update repayment schedules under the repayment guidelines.
- Handling and analyzing incoming communications
- Managing all mail merge, as well as reporting requests, including ADHOC requests (daily, weekly, monthly) to record, organize and analyze data
- Processing and reviewing applications to ensure 100% accuracy to release funds for student loans for borrowers, and any follow ups associated to application in regard to missing/incorrect information that will impact processing.
- Completing and examining requests regarding changes in payment amounts and term for borrowers with student loans, using both internal tools and access to the loan servicing system to complete the requirement from the borrower.
- Assisting with application process for repayment assistance of student loans, reviewing consumer proposals with bankruptcy, reconciliation of accounts, and rehabilitating loans to reestablish loans with goal of borrower having a good standing score. Reviewing any requests to change payments with reschedule of terms on their student loans, revisions of terms and payment plans for borrowers.

- Complete work adhering to service levels.
- Ability to handle escalations and resolve in a timely manner.
- Works within defined processes, procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach to complete a task.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Communicate and establish positive working relationships
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Maintains confidentiality to sensitive information
Required Experience/Skills:
- Exceptional communication skill set, both written and verbal. (Bilingual French/English an asset)
- High attention to detail is required to ensure schedules are updated accurately and/or to identify discrepancies to the current loan schedule(s)
- Excellent keyboarding skills, with the ability to successful maintain high quality standards.
- Advance Windows and MS Office skills with the ability to navigate through multiple windows while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate analytical and judgment skills when dealing with moderate to complex procedures and situations.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills would be preferred.
- Thrives in a structured, supportive environment which is service level driven, success is measured by standard key performance metrics.
- Must have a demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
Hours of Work
Must be flexible between 8:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday & overtime available on Saturdays 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Location
- This job will be on site at our 5995 Avebury Rd, Mississauga, ON office
Additional Requirements:
- Meets benchmark requirement for candidate screening including online cognitive aptitude assessment as well as ability to complete background checks including Credit, Criminal, and Public Safety Verification.
- Please note, this job has access to Protected B data and as a result the successful applicant will require their Personal Enhanced Reliability Check (PERC) clearance, prior to commencing work, thus Will be required to submit fingerprints to the RCMP for the Government Reliability Clearance.
