Firebelly tea believes these times call for tea. Especially high quality tea without any of the “flavourings” – artificial, “natural” or otherwise – that are pervasive with most tea brands and contain a slew of unlisted preservatives. Founded by the co-founder of DAVIDsTEA and the president of Shopify, Firebelly not only offers incredible loose leaf teas in compostable packaging, but has also created a unique line of modern tea accessories with smart features to enhance the tea experience.
We are looking to hire a part time Bookkeeper. The position includes all aspects of a full cycle book-keeping from data entry to reports. Complete knowledge of Quickbooks Online as well as excel is required.
The main duties may include:
- Data Entry (ie: invoices, receipts, payments)
- Reconcile accounts * Prepare financial reports, including HST, WSIB, EI * *
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerised bookkeeping systems
- Prepare tax returns with our accountants
- Work with the Operations team on improving existing workflows and implementing new processes.
- Take actions to encourage timely debt payments.
Who we are looking for
- Bookkeeping (Minimum 1-2 years experience)
- Sound knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Background or education in accounting, finance, business administration a plus.
- Able to work independently and under minimum supervision
- Team Player, Adaptable, Organized, Reliable, Attention to Detail
