First Lake Early Learning Centre Looking for Inclusion Coordinator Early Childhood Educator at Lower Sackville, NS Full Time

The Inclusion Coordinator is responsible to oversee the provision of a safe, caring and developmentally appropriate early learning environment for children with identified and unidentified needs. The Inclusion Coordinator guides all staff to support the inclusion of all children and initiate changes in the environment that will support each child’s inclusion and participation within the centre.

The Inclusion Coordinator uses the centres philosophy and inclusion policy to adapt programs and equipment as required, to maintain and enhance a standard of care that contributes to the centre’s reputation for excellence. The Inclusion Coordinator works within all classrooms and reports to the Director.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a current Vulnerable sector check, First Aid/CPR Certification Level C and complete a Child Abuse Registry Check.

Education:

Candidate must possess a Nova Scotia Level 1, 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification. Specialized training in working with children with disabilities is an asset.

Benefits: This is a unionized position. Inclusion coordinator will receive 10 hours of paid professional development. 8 sick days, 4 personal days, 2 weeks vacation, pension Plan, discounted childcare.

Salary: $17.55-$19.55 per hour
