fischer group Looking for Maintenance Inventory Clerk at Waterloo, ON Full Time

The Maintenance Inventory Clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting and storage of parts and supplies in the maintenance parts stores. They will ensure that the plant parts store remains tidy and the physical count matches the computer system. They will work with maintenance team to design the stockroom work processes and equipment parts structure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receives shipments from vendors; checks vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and ensuring quantities received are as ordered.
• Ensure all parts are labeled properly and put away in their designated area.
• Process incoming order requisitions and maintain record of orders.
• Support and assist the maintenance team in its search for items or information relating to inventory.
• Replenishes stock as shipments arrive and maintain inventory records/cycle counting.
• Work with project and maintenance team on stockroom and process design.
• Provide ideas for improvements related to the activities of its service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of maintenance shop environment and inventory control.
• Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials.
• Demonstrates good organization skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications.
• Knowledge of Kardex Remstar Software, Infor Visual, eWorkorders & or Fastpic considered an asset.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Job Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in an administrative role.

Working Conditions:

• Work split between office and manufacturing environment.
• Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm.
• Overtime available.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
