Job description
Education/Skills & Experience Required:
- University degree, CPA
- Advanced IT Competency, must have advanced working knowledge with SAGE 300
- Minimum 5 years of financial and accounting-related experience
- Previous working experience in a manufacturing setting (preferably sheet metal) with an emphasis on cost accounting principles and practices
- Must have experience with setting up ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all accounting functions.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger to ensure timely and complete financial reporting is delivered. This includes ensuring all accounts are reconciled on a timely basis, inventory is counted and valued properly, and all reserves and accruals are accurate and timely.
- Responsibility for the cost accounting system including accurate development of work center costs, accurate and timely and standard costs.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly government remittances: WSIB, Payroll Sources Deductions, HST, etc.
- Support payroll activities including integration of payroll with the ERP system and filing of payroll taxes.
- Work with ERP Project Manager
