Most of our team is currently located around Vancouver, BC. However, we are completely remote-friendly – you can work from anywhere in Canada that suits you best. We only ask that you work in the pacific time zone (PST).
Your daily schedule is also quite flexible. You need to be available and responsive to the needs of our customers and available to collaborate with the rest of the team at FlexiBake.This means generally you’ll set your hours sometime between 7am-6pm.
About the COMPANY
FlexiBake is a B2B SaaS company that provides an ERP software (enterprise resource planning) that is tailored to the needs of recipe-driven manufacturers. Our primary customers are wholesale bakeries. FlexiBake’s mission is to provide small businesses with access to enterprise grade tools. We offer superior and affordable manufacturing software, provide exceptional customer support, and our value driven team has many years of previous experience in the baking industry. The company has been in operation since 2005 and new versions of our software have been released regularly ever since.
About the TEAM
It’s a tight knit team of approximately 15 people right now. We have recently revised our strategy and developed accompanying growth plans which we intend to execute over the next 2-3 years. We want your help in achieving that growth, but also want to be transparent about our expectations based on the current state of the organization. We have stated that this role will provide support to several teams and functions within FlexiBake. We say functions because there isn’t currently a dedicated HR team, Finance team, or Marketing team but those are still functions you will be providing operational support for.
About the ROLE
As the Operations Coordinator you play a multifaceted role at FlexiBake. You are accountable for ensuring excellence and efficiency of our day to day operations. To start out, your work will primarily be focused on:
As a highly cross-functional resource you provide operational and administrative support for several teams and functions including sales, customer success, business operations, finance, HR, the leadership team, and possibly customer support or marketing as well. The full scope of your role is not pre-determined. Ultimately it will be based on your skills, experience, and interest as well as our team growth over the coming months and years.
However, what we are certain about is that you will perform a variety of administrative and financial tasks with precision and efficiency. Along the way you will constantly be asking “how can this be done better?” and then demonstrating your resourcefulness in figuring out the answer to that question. About YOU
You adapt your communication style to work effectively with different internal and external stakeholders throughout any of the workflows and processes you own. This helps you gracefully chase delinquent customer payments or efficiently report on the status of a particular project.
You are also meticulous in creating clear and consistent documentation along the way. This is especially important as you are pivotal in helping manage the change of adopting new internal systems or digital tools that will help with our planned growth.
Your attention to detail is a crucial skill that enables you to help manage projects like building a new company intranet or migrating all the team members to a new email provider.
Your aptitude for finance has been honed from previous experience. You spot discrepancies easily, figure out how they happened, and then extrapolate to try and find others.
