FLINT is recruiting Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians for a client in Whitecourt, AB for permanent opportunities. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and skills in electrical systems, equipment, and tools in an idustrial setting, and must possess valid certifications.
These are permanent positions, working Monday-Thursday. LOA is not provided for these roles but overtime will be provided if required.
What would you be doing?
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts.
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators.
- Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment.
- Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Does this sound like you?
- Have a Journeyperson Electrician card or Apprentice Electrician ticket.
- Previous experience working in a Mill is considered an asset
- Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform tickets are an asset.
- Have high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, and employees.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
