RESPONSIBILITIES
Report directly to the Operations Manager
Handle office tasks, such as filing, bookkeeping, generating reports, and setting up for meetings
Provide real-time scheduling support by booking appointments
Screen and route calls to the appropriate party
Support team by performing tasks related to organization
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
Anticipate the needs of others to ensure their seamless and positive experience
Check, maintain and order supply inventory
Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
Prepare and file tax returns
Enter accounting related information into business logs
Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
Organize and update financial records
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
Perform monthly bank settlements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience as an Administrative Assistant, Accounting/Finance, or similar role
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
SharePoint a plus
Ability to read and analyze financial reports
Strong understanding of Canada tax regulations
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles to assess the company’s earnings and spending to find areas for improvement
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Interpersonal skills – must be comfortable to communicate with both executives and staff employees to create and administer company standards/polices
Strong personal and professional judgment
Ability to adapt and respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
Strong organizational skills, and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and/or within a team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations
Knowledge of floor coverings, countertops, and window treatments a plus (Willing to train)
Knowledge of Pacific Solutions Floor Manager (integrated industry specific software) a plus (Willing to train)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, A & F, Business Administration or similar field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
